H.M.S. Seafire was one of sixty-seven "S" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy as the Great War was ending.
Service
Seafire joined the Fourteenth Destroyer Flotilla upon commissioning. After the war, she was assigned to the Seventh Destroyer Flotilla as part of a broad re-organization of the fleet.
In October 1919, she was transferred to the Fifth Destroyer Flotilla, but in mid-November she was reduced to reserve at Devonport.
Seafire was again reduced to Reserve Fleet at Devonport on 14 August, 1920.[7]
The destroyer arrived at Pembroke on 20 May, 1924.[8]
Arrived at Devonport on 27 June, 1925 and departed for Salcombe.[9]
Arrived at Devonport on 22 May, 1926.[10]
She was commissioned on 6 October, 1927.[11] In early 1933, she was in the Maintenance Reserve at Rosyth.[12]
In mid-June, 1936, she was one of five destroyers and leaders at Rosyth on the list for disposal.[13]
