H.M.S. Stronghold was one of sixty-seven "S" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy as the Great War was ending.

Service

She was reduced to Reserve at Portsmouth on 16 August, 1920.[6]

Reduced to Reserve Complement at Portsmouth on 31 March, 1925.[7]

She was Reduced to Reserve on 10 January, 1927.[8]

Paid off into Maintenance Reserve at Rosyth on 30 March, 1928.[9]

Reduced to Reserve at Portsmouth on 31 March, 1931.[10]

Re-commissioned at Devonport on 1 January, 1937.[11]
