H.M.S. Serapis was one of sixty-seven "S" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy as the Great War was ending.
Service
Serapis recommissioned at Devonport on 28 November, 1919.[6]
She re-commissioned at Portsmouth with 2/5ths crew on 4 December, 1923.[7]
Serapis was re-commissioned at the Nore on 7 January, 1927 for duty with the Eighth Destroyer Flotilla on the China Station.[8]
The ship was re-commissioned at Hong Kong on 1 October, 1929 for service with the Eighth Destroyer Flotilla.[9]
She paid off into Dockyard Control at Portsmouth on 26 April, 1932.[10]
In June of 1933, her bell was one of about 100 surplus bells announced as being for sale at prices ranging from £1 to £10. Preference would be given to those offers from men with a special consideration in the bell in question.[11]
