Captain Harold Edward Morse, D.S.O., R.N. (23 July, 1891 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Morse was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 October, 1912.

Post-War

Morse was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 October, 1920.

Morse was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1926.

Morse was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1933.

World War II

Director of Minesweeping Division from 2 October, 1939 to 4 July, 1941.

Appointed to H.M.S. President, additional, for duty inside the Admiralty with the Director of Naval Equipment (Damage Control Section). Placed on the Retired List 12 January, 1943, and re-appointed to H.M.S. President "on retirement."

He was promoted to Rear-Admiral on the Retired List "on reversion", with effect from 1 October, 1946 [sic], and reverted to the Retired List on 2 October, 1946.
