Commander (retired) Robert Sydney Stafford, (29 August, 1899 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.

Life & Career

Stafford was confirmed in the rank of Mate on 1 December, 1923.

Stafford was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 February, 1927.[1]

Stafford was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 February, 1935.[2]

Stafford was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Commander on 29 August, 1944.[3]
