On 3 December, 1916, a French destroyer collided with Teviot. Jauncey was thanked by the French Minister of Marine for his services in saving lives of French sailors on this occasion.[4]
Jauncey was hospitalised for an unknown period with German measles on 18 February, 1917.[5]

He was appointed in command of the destroyer Tintagel on 17 March, 1920. He grounded her sometime later that year and was told to be more careful in future.[8]
In December, 1920, Jauncey was appointed in command of the destroyer Venturous.[9] Captain Powell gave her a satisfactory inspection report in 1921.[10]
Jauncey was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Commander on 15 April, 1932.[11]
