Captain (retired) James Francis Paget (25 September, 1890 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Paget was appointed to Royal Naval College, Dartmouth as a Naval Cadet in January, 1906 – part of the transition from the era of Britannia to the new training scheme.

Paget was appointed to Prince of Wales as gunnery officer.

Paget was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 July, 1911.[1]

Paget was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 July, 1919.[2]

On 30 July 1923, a Court of Enquiry found that he was to blame in the recent loss of the starboard bower anchor of H.M.S. Valiant.

Paget was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1925.[3]
