H.M.S. Rowena was one of sixty-two "R" class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy in 1916-17.

Service

Rowena was assigned to the Fifteenth Destroyer Flotilla in October, 1916, as it was still building up to strength.[8]

Reduced to reserve at Devonport on 16 October, 1919.[9]

She re-commissioned at Devonport on 27 April, 1920.[10]

She re-commissioned at Devonport on 8 March, 1922.[11]

Paid off into Dockyard Control at Rosyth on 19 June, 1925.[12]

Re-commissioned on 1 July 1926 for service with the Portland Anti-Submarine Flotilla.[13]
