H.M.S. Rosalind was one of sixty-two "R" class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy in 1916-17.

Service

Rosalind joined the Thirteenth Destroyer Flotilla in December, 1916[8] – the only "R" class destroyer in the formation. She left the following month to join the Fifteenth Destroyer Flotilla,[9] staying there through the end of the war until being shifted to the post-war Fourth Destroyer Flotilla in March, 1919.[10]

She was re-commissioned with reduced complement on 15 December, 1919.[11]

On 15 June, 1921, the Portsmouth Local Defence Flotilla was comprised of Rosalind and her sisters Rob Roy and Ready.[12]

Roslind was paid off into Dockyard Control at Portsmouth on 15 December, 1925.[13]
