Commander (retired) Geoffrey Thomas Archibald Scott (24 February, 1895 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Admitted to be treated for mumps 1 June, 1914 at Portland Hospital.

Scott was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 October, 1916.

Scott was appointed in command of the submarine R 4 in June, 1919.[1]

Scott was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 October, 1924.

Placed on the Retired List as medically unfit with tuberculosis on 26 October, 1929.

Scott was promoted to the rank of Commander on 24 February, 1935.

World War II

Commander in Charge, Hove, vice Spencer from 17 August, 1942 to 15 January, 1943 at which time he became Executive Officer, Grimsby Base vice Wright.
