H.M.S. Huntley was one of one hundred and fourteen Hunt Class minesweepers completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
Huntley paid off at Malta on 27 November, 1919.[6]
Paid off to a C. & M. Party on 17 October, 1924[7] and was completed to Reserve Complement the same day.[8]
She re-commissioned with Reserve Complement at Malta on 16 September, 1929.[9]
In the early 30s, she was still situated in Malta, her captain Lieutenant-Commander Voysey being in charge of minesweepers in reserve.[10][11]
Re-commissioned in reserve at Malta on 13 January, 1937 for service with the Second Minesweeping Flotilla on the China Station.[12]
