Admiral John Ewen Cameron, C.B., M.V.O. (15 June, 1874 – 28 July, 1939) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in London in 1874, Cameron was promoted to Commander on 31 December, 1905.[1]

Cameron was appointed Lieutenant & Commander of the destroyer Blackwater in May, 1906.[2]

Cameron was appointed in command of the destroyer Zulu on 15 March, 1910.[3]

Cameron was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1913.

On 30 August, 1913, Cameron was appointed captain of the depot ship Hecla.[4]

He was appointed in command of the light cruiser Phaeton on 2 January, 1915.[5]

Cameron was appointed as Captain of depot ship Crescent (the former battleship Glory) on 9 April, 1919.[6]

He was appointed in command of the battlecruiser Tiger in March, 1921.[7]
