Captain Walter Pulteney Koe (22 September, 1877 – 6 January, 1954) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Hampton, Wick.

Koe was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1899.[1]

Koe was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 October, 1907.[2]

Retired at his own request on 26 February, 1912.

Koe was lent to the Turkish Navy in June 1914, and was recalled along with the rest of the Naval Mission in September 1914. He arrived home on 1 October, and was appointed in command of the armed yacht Ellida on 6 October, 1914 and placed in command of Auxiliary Patrol Area XIX. He was superseded in command of the Area on 10 September and then of the yacht on 15 October, 1915.[3]

Koe was promoted to the rank of Commander (retired) on 22 September, 1917.

Post-War

Koe was promoted to the rank of Captain (retired) on 22 September, 1922.
