Captain (retired) Thomas Charles Carpenter Bolster, D.S.O., R.N. (17 August, 1885 – 19 August, 1955) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Bolster was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 September, 1915.[1]

Bolster was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 September, 1907.[2]

Bolster was qualified as an Interpreter in German in April of 1910, first drawing comment for this skill in 1909.[3]

Bolster was appointed in command of the destroyer Lightning on 12 December, 1911.[4]

He was appointed in command of the flotilla leader Marksman on 19 April, 1918.[5]

Post-War

Bolster was appointed in command of the patrol boat PC 73 on 13 November, 1919.[6]

Bolster was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1919.[7]

Bolster was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Captain on 1 October, 1931.[8]
