H.M.S. Wren was one of fifteen destroyers of the Modified "W" class.

Service

After being launched, work was suspended and Wren was not readied for commissioning until early 1923.

She was re-commissioned at Devonport on 8 October, 1923 for service with the Fourth Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[8]

Re-commissioned on 21 August, 1928 for service with the Fourth Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[9]

She reduced to Special Reserve complement at Devonport on 2 May, 1931,[10] but was completed to full complement on 7 December for service with the Eighth Destroyer Flotilla on the China Station.[11]

Re-commissioned at Hong Kong on 2 April, 1934 for service with the Eighth Destroyer Flotilla on the China Station.[12]

Commissioned at Devonport on 13 January, 1937.[13]
