Captain (retired) Stephen Barry, (18 November, 1894 – 12 February, 1989) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of solicitor Charles Edward Barry, Esq. of Clifton Bristol.[1]

Barry was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 September, 1916.[2]

Barry was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 September, 1924.[3]

After retiring omn 1 October, 1931, Barry was promoted to the rank of Commander on 18 November, 1934.[4]

World War II

Barry was granted the Acting rank of Captain on 23 July, 1942 while appointed as C.O.I.S., Eastern Fleet.

Barry was promoted to the War Service rank of Captain dated 1945.
