Captain Roger Vincent Alison, R.N., Retired (22 January, 1885 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

On 12 January, 1906, Alison was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 72.[1]

Alison was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1906.[2]

Alison was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 5 on 31 January, 1910.[3]

On 1 February, 1912, he was appointed in command of the destroyer Foyle.[4]

Great War

Alison commanded the destroyer Moresby in the Thirteenth Destroyer Flotilla at the Battle of Jutland.[5]

Alison was appointed in command of the destroyer Umpire on 28 July, 1917.[6]
