Commander Manuel Dasent, (13 May, 1879 – 5 June, 1916) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in London.
Dasent was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1900.[1]
Dasent was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1913.[2]
He was appointed to second class battleship Edinburgh as executive officer on 3 March, 1914.[3]
Dasent was appointed to the armoured cruiser H.M.S. Hampshire as executive officer on 3 June 1915. He fought in her at the Battle of Jutland, but died aboard her days later when she was lost to a mine.
