Lieutenant-Commander John Hay Forbes, D.S.O. (28 August, 1906 – 2 August, 1940) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Forbes was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 July, 1929.[1]
Forbes was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 July, 1937.[2]
He died in command of the submarine H.M.S. Spearfish when she was lost in the North Sea.[3]
