Captain Jack Tuthill Borrett, O.B.E. (21 July, 1894 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Captain G. H. Borrett, R.N..
Borrett was appointed to the Beagle Class destroyer Basilisk on 2 December, 1914 and was promoted in her to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1916. He was ordered to return to England on 12 September, 1916.[1]
Borrett was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1924.[2]
Borrett was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1930.[3]
Borrett was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1938.[4]
World War II
He was placed on the Retired List on 8 July, 1947.[5]
His last day on the Admiralty's books was 31 July, 1954.
