H.M.S. Douglas was one of eight flotilla leaders of the Scott class.

Service

Douglas joined the Eleventh Destroyer Flotilla, bearing the formation's Captain (D) Brien M. Money in December, 1918.[6]

She re-commissioned on 18 March, 1920.[7]

The leader was completed to full complement on 4 September, 1924.[8]

Douglas was re-commissioned with Reserve Crew on 8 April, 1925[9] and was replaced by the light cruiser Centaur as flagship of the Atlantic Destroyers.[10]

She was re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 7 April, 1928. In early 1929, she was serving as a flotilla leader for the First Submarine Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[11]
