Captain R.N.R. (retired) George ffrench Harford Lloyd, R.D. (23 July, 1880 – ) was an officer in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Lloyd was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 3 September, 1909, having earned first class certificates in torpedo and gunnery the previous year.[1]
Called out on 19 August, 1914, Lloyd was appointed to Invincible on 24 October, 1914. On 25 July, 1915, he went to Excellent.[2]
Lloyd was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 3 September, 1917.[3]
Lloyd was appointed in command of the destroyer Roebuck on 23 August, 1918.[4]
Mentioned in Despatches on 12 December, 1918, Lloyd was awarded R.D. in 1921 and promoted to the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 31 December, 1922.[5]
Lloyd was promoted to the rank of Captain R.N.R. (retired) on 31 December, 1927.[6]
