Vice-Admiral George Ronald Beddard Blount, D.S.O., R.N., Retired (8 October, 1877 – ?) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Blount was promoted to Lieutenant on 15 September, 1899.[1]

Blount was promoted to Commander on 30 June, 1912.[2]

Blount was promoted to Captain on 30 June, 1917.[3]

Blount was appointed to command the battleship Commonwealth on 1 November, 1918.[4] He was discharged on30 September, 1920.[5]

Post-War

He was appointed in command of Ramillies in August 1926 before moving over to command Barham in February 1928, remaining with her for seven months.

Blount was promoted to Rear-Admiral on 7 April, 1928 and placed on the Retired List at his own request the following day.[6]

Blount was advanced to Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 2 January, 1933.[7]
