Lieutenant-Commander George Richard Colin Campbell, R.N. (9 October, 1886 – 10 October, 1918) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Reverend E. Campbell.

Campbell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 May, 1908.

Campbell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 May, 1916 while stationed at Royal Naval College, Keyham. On 16 January 1916, he was appointed to the Compass Department.

Campbell died when the passenger ship Leinster, in which he was taking passage, was torpedoed and sunk in the Irish Sea by UB 123 just one month before the end of the war.
