Lieutenant-Commander Ernest George Ebblewhite (19 April, 1889 – 29 January, 1927) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Wells, the son of barrister E. Ebblewhite, Esq..

Ebblewhite was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1911.[1]

Ebblewhite was appointed in command of the submarine A 11 on 1 June, 1914.[2]

Ebblewhite was appointed to the icebreaker Sviatogor as first officer on 24 September, 1919. He would leave this post on 8 October for the Devonport Barracks.

Ebblewhite was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1919.

He returned from South Africa in July 1920 and was placed on the Retired List at his own request with a gratuity on 10 August, 1920.

He died at Little Barn, Haskaton, Suffolk in early 1927.
