Edmund Radcliffe Pears

Vice-Admiral SIR Edmund Radcliffe Pears, K.B.E., C.B., Royal Navy (25 April, 1862 – 21 June, 1941) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
In the naval manœuvres of 1913, Pears was appointed in command of the Tenth Cruiser Squadron.[1]
Pears was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 10 February, 1914, vice Bradford.[2]
Great War
Pears was appointed to fly his flag at Invergordon on 13 August, 1914.[3]
He was appointed a Companion of the Civil Division of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath (C.B.) on 1 January, 1917.[4]
He was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 9 January, 1919, vice Troubridge.[5] He was promoted to the rank of Admiral on the Retired List on 3 March, 1924.[6]
