Captain (retired) Aubrey Basil Fanshawe, (13 November, 1893 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Fanshawe was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 May, 1916.[1]
Appointed first and gunnery officer of Bruce on 13 October 1919.[2]
Fanshawe was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 May, 1924.[3]
Fanshawe was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1929.[4]
Fanshawe was lent to New Zealand Government for three years from 4 August, 1938.[5]
World War II
Fanshawe was placed on the Retired List on account of age with the rank of Captain on 13 November, 1943.[6]
