Captain Rory Chambers O'Conor, (23 September, 1898 – 19 December, 1941) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

O'Conor was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 August, 1919, which was later adjusted to 15 April, 1919.

O'Conor was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 April, 1927.

O'Conor was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1931.

O'Conor was executive officer of H.M.S. Hood from 1933 to 1936.[1]

O'Conor was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1936. He was killed at age 43 in the loss of his command, the light cruiser Neptune on 19 December, 1941.
