Lieutenant Frank Thompson Ormand (23 October, 1887 – 2 February, 1912) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Earlestown, Lancashire, Ormand entered the Navy direct from "Worcester" with three and a half months' time.

Ormand was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 October, 1908.

Orman was appointed in command of A 4 on 30 November, 1911.

Although there is no indication in his service record that he was appointed in command of the boat, Ormand died with his thirteen crewmen when A 3 sank.[1]
