Lieutenant Charles Lewis Moore, R.N. (23 August, 1889 – 14 September, 1914) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Colonel H. Moore was born in Dublin.
Moore was promoted to the rank of Sub-Lieutenant on 30 September, 1908.
Moore was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1911. He was appointed to Arrogant for a course in submarines on 15 August, 1911. On 14 November, he was re-appointed to the ship for service in submarines. In October 1913 he was lent to the Royal Australian Navy.
Moore died almost as soon as the war began when AE 1 disappeared without a trace in September, 1914.
