Lieutenant-Commander Colin George Walter Donald, (7 July, 1904 – 23 May, 1940) served in the Royal Navy.
As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.
Life & Career
Donald was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 28 February, 1927.[1]
Donald was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 28 February, 1935.[2]
World War II
He died when his command, H.M.S. Vimy was bombed by the Germans.
