H.M.S. K 14 was one of 18 submarines of the "K" class.
Service
K 14 had the misfortune to be involved in the "Battle of May Island" on 31 January 1918, suffering a steering casualty while trying to avoid a collision. K 22 rammed her forward. Two men were lost, but the submarine remained seaworthy.
In April, 1920, she and K 16 were placed under the collective command of Lieutenant Harry P. K. Oram, where they comprised Reserve Submarine Group "B" at Rosyth. On 20 November, 1920, he was relieved by Lieutenant William Ibbett.[6]
K 14 was re-commissioned on 20 August, 1924 under the command of Lieutenant-Commander James Lawrence Boyd.[7]
On 13 November 1925, she reduced to a C. & M. Party at Chatham.[8]
