H.M.S. Zephyr was one of forty-two "A" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy — a "27 knotter".

Service

She left the Nore to exercise with five other destroyers and seven torpedo boats of the Nore Defence Flotilla on 18 June, 1912.[8]

In mid-1913, she was at The Nore.[9]
