Jump to navigationJump to searchCaptain (retired) George Norman Ballard, C.B.E. (17 January, 1874 – 1 January, 1951) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Ballard was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1895.
Ballard was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1906.[1]
Ballard was appointed in command of the third class protected cruiser Philomel on 19 September, 1911.[2]
Post-War
Ballard was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Captain on 15 October, 1922.
