Commander (retired) William Goodenough Halliley (6 June, 1882 – 12 December, 1943) was an officer in the Royal Naval Reserve and the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Halliley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant (Supplementary) on 1 April, 1913.[1]

Halliley was appointed in command of the destroyer Norseman on 17 January, 1919.[2]

Halliley was placed on the Retired List at the rank of Commander on 6 June, 1922.[3]

World War II

Granted total exemption from naval service, Halliley was employed by the Air Ministry. His death in late 1943 was listed under "Casualties".[4]
