Rear-Admiral William Frederick Blunt, C.B.E., D.S.O., Royal Navy, Retired (3 March, 1870, – 5 July, 1928) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Blunt was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1892.[1]
He was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1904.[2]
Blunt was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1911.[3]
He was appointed in command of Jupiter on 25 July, 1915.[4]
He commanded the light cruiser Gloucester at the Battle of Jutland as part of the Third Light Cruiser Squadron.Template:UKJutlandOfficialDespatches
Blunt was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on the Retired List on 6 April, 1922.
