Lieutenant-Commander William Cooper, Retired (3 March, 1861 – 21 March, 1940) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Cooper was promoted to the rank of acting Gunner on 27 May, 1895.

Cooper was promoted to the rank of Chief Gunner on 1 April, 1912. He was promptly appointed to the gunboat Blazer in July.[1]. He assumed command on 15 June 1912 when Lieutenant Edward Davis vacated the position.

Cooper was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 May, 1916.

Retired in June 1919.

Cooper was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 May, 1924.
