Commander (retired) Walter John Wyndham Steward, (30 March, 1864 – 16 March, 1942) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Steward was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on December, 1886.[1]
In 1898, his zeal and judgment were both deemed "moderate" by Captain Egerton. In January, 1901 he was deemed "not worthy of promotion" by Admiral Lake.[2]
He served in the Coast Guard from 1902 onward.
Steward was placed on the Retired List at the rank of Commander on 11 July, 1907.[3]
