U.S.S. K-6 was one of eight Haddock Class submarines completed for the U.S. Navy.

She commissioned on 9 September, 1914 at Boston, with Lieutenant Joseph O. Fisher in command.

Service

In early 1916, K-6 went to Pensacola, Florida, suffering some delay in transit which required her to stop by Charleston Navy Yard. Once in Pensacola, her crew was accommodated aboard Tallahassee.[4]
