Commander Thomas Andrew Hussey, C.B.E. (12 April, 1898 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of J. W. Hussey, Surveyor.

Hussey served in battleship Vengeance from August 1914 to 30 July, 1915 when he was appointed to the battleship Collingwood. He fought in her at the Battle of Jutland. On 1 January, 1917 he was appointed to H.M.S. Vernon for a Torpedo Control Course.[1]

Late in the war, he served in the battleship H.M.S. Queen Elizabeth.[2]

Hussey was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 February, 1919.[3]

Hussey was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 February, 1927.[4]

Hussey was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1933. He was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 31 December, 1937.[5]

World War II

Reverted to the Retired List on 21 November, 1946.[6]
