Commander (retired) Stewart Magee Walker, D.S.C. (23 March, 1892 – 11 January, 1944) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Walker was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 August, 1914.

Walker was appointed to the battlecruiser Lion as a Lieutenant (E) on 25 August, 1915 and fought in her at the Battle of Jutland, being awarded the D.S.C. for his actions in the absence of the Commander.

Walker was appointed to the light cruiser Conquest as Lieutenant (E) on 7 February, 1918.[1]

Walker was placed on the Retired List at his own request 17 August, 1920.

Walker was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 August, 1922.

Walker was promoted to the rank of Commander on 23 March, 1932.

World War II

Walker died of heart disease
