Staff Engineer was a commissioned rank of the Engineer Branch in the Royal Navy.
History
The rank of Staff Engineer was abolished under the terms of the Order in Council of 29 June, 1900, all officers holding that rank at that time retaining it until promoted.
Under the provisions of the Order in Council of 28 March, 1903, all Staff Engineers became Engineer Lieutenants.
