Vice-Admiral (retired) Samuel Arthur Johnson, (25 March, 1845 – 26 June, 1915) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Johnson was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1890.[1]
Johnson was placed on the Retired List due to age on 25 March 1900.[2]
He was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 31 August, 1903 and to Vice-Admiral on 1 June, 1907.[3]
Upon his death in 1915, he left an estate valued at £2,640.15.1, his son Hugh Coningsby Johnson being one of the executors.[4]
