Captain (retired) Rowland Edward Berkeley (28 September, 1852 – 19 December, 1926) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Berkeley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 24 May, 1877.

Berkeley was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1892.

Berkeley was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Captain on 1 August, 1902.

Died "suddenly" at St. Leonards-on-Sea of chronic interstitial pneumonia.
