Commander (retired) Richard Fisher, (25 May, 1893 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Fisher served in the T.B.Ds. Express, Badger and Nereus in the Great War. Nereus operated with the Thirteenth Destroyer Flotilla, but was not amongst that formation's order of battle at the Battle of Jutland. Fisher was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 December, 1915, and in August 1917 left Nereus to attend a Torpedo Control course at H.M.S. Vernon. On 13 October 1917 he was appointed to Lupin as first Lieutenant. He remained with her through the end of the war.[1]

Fisher was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 December, 1923.[2]

Placed on the Retired List 11 April, 1919.[3]

World War II

Fisher was promoted to the rank of Commander on 8 May, 1946.[4]

Reverted 27 March, 1947.[5]
