Lieutenant-Commander (retired) Joseph Charles Davies (17 February, 1867 – 18 May, 1938) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Davies was made a Chief Boatswain on 1 April, 1912.[1]

He commanded H.M.S. Driver, tender to Defiance from 16 May 1914 to 10 January, 1915.

Davies was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 2 August, 1917.

He commanded H.M.S. Confiance, another tender to Defiance from 5 May 1919 until he was placed on the Retired List on account of age on 17 February, 1922.

Promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 2 August, 1925.
