Vice-Admiral SIR John William Musgrave Eaton, C.B., K.B.E., D.S.O., D.S.C. (3 November, 1902 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.

Life & Career

Eaton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 May, 1925.

Eaton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 May, 1933.

Eaton was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1937.

World War II

Eaton was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1941.[1]

Eaton was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 7 July, 1951.[2]

Eaton was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 16 September, 1954. He retired 31 January, 1958.[3]
