Commander John Nettleton Hicks, (3 May, 1906 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Hicks was awarded the Goodenough Medal for being the Sub-Lieutenant who achieved the highest gunnery examination for the year and who also achieved a first-class certificate in seamanship.

Hicks was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 April, 1928.

Hicks was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 April, 1936.[1]

Hicks was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1941.[2]
