Vice-Admiral SIR James Andrew Gardiner Troup, K.B.E., C.B., Royal Navy (7 March, 1883 – 11 May, 1975) was an officer of the Royal Navy during the First World War.

Troup was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 16 January, 1935, vice im Thurn.[1]

Troup was a notable contributor to The Naval Review under his initials J.A.G.T.
