The Inspector of Target Practice was a Royal Navy position instituted in 1905 and abolished in 1913.
He was to be "an officer whose sole duty [would] be to advise [the Admiralty] in respect of all aiming and target practice, and the use of instructional appliances leading up to target practice", providing counsel but not possessing any executive powers.
